![]() ![]() ![]() They appear to have an excellent reputation. My plan B was to use a company called MCA in Romania who specialise in repairing these. The skill level required here was extensive, the person I used repairs iphones as a hobby. I had a professional surface mount soldering technician reflow the BGA's and it seems to be OK now. Then having really researched it found that on the CCC certain BGA flash memory chips were likely to be the problem. I first replaced the power supply PCB capacitors which required a pretty substantial disassembly of the idrive. It may not be the idrive, something else could upset it, but it probably is the idrive. In your case I'd hope BMW will offer you a goodwill repair/replacement. A full CCC was otherwise around £3k.Ī new CCC or NBT will need programming and coding to the car - a pretty major job in its own right, and of course not cheap either. ![]() I have just had this problem and fixed it 3 days ago.however mine was an older 535d with the CCC.įor the CCC (which was known to fail) apparently BMW used to offer exchange units for around £850. ![]()
